Gmail get more safer…
Google has announced that the company has introduced a feature that will make their e-mail service “Gmail” a little more safer for users.
From now on, Gmail can only be used with encryption when you visit the service in a browser. Previously it has been possible to select whether the you want to use the service with or whitout encryption….
When the option has been taken away, it force the browser to use encryption (https protocol SSL) when you use the service. When encryption is used, Google hope to reduce the ability for hackers to intercept your mail-sessions.
If no encryption is used, it make is technically possible for an attack to intercept all messages you read, for example, in a wireless network. By using encrypted sessions, the information can not be read in plain text.
