Is Cloud good for companies?

Many companies are good to protecting themselves through advanced firewalls and expensive anti-virus software, but thats not including cloud services that staff are using

But in many companies are employees allowed to save and share sensitive business information in cloud services like Dropbox and iCloud, and even in cases where the company has a policy for this, its few people that follow this.

Many employee thinks it’s a quick and easy way to use services, such as Dropbox. It gets the job done.

One problem is that the company’s that already have a safer solution is bad to inform employee about this. But even worse, many companys dont even have a policy for how to use any cloud service

In fact, only eight percent of the asked say that their company has a policy about cloud services. Around one third stated that they had no guidance at all, while nearly half do not know if any are any policy at the workplace.

This is scary numbers, If you talked about dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, or any other cloud service for 5 years ago, lots of people dident know what or how it was working.

And today 80-85% of people that working on web are using some of the existing cloud service

To include a security police about the cloud its definitely a high priority for any company, but the fact is… Its never 100% safe in the cloud. More and more people moving home all sensitive data within their own firewall.

It does not necessarily mean that it is safer but at least you can see if there has happen anything that should not, which is almost impossible with services as Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive.
